Transformational Moments Making Movements

There have been many transformational moments that have indicated mass movement upon the globe. Since the end of the baktun in 2012, there are hundreds of dots on Earth’s current timeline. Each one is marking the date of uprisings that shatter the status quo we’ve been living.

In every one of those historical shifts, marginalized people realize they have a choice. In this period, we see the choice in responding to the current circumstances of a worldwide pandemic and a mandate to stay home.

We the people realize that choice could help deconstruct the inequality that the status quo has provided. They see the potential to create the world anew outside of the discord that colonialism has set.

We recognize that this great unraveling is weakening oppressive structures and dissolving the the veil of illusion.

We are in the age of the great awakening.

As an Indigenous person of color working with allies from the beginning of my social justice education in 1995, I had realized early on that there is an indulgent amount of ignorance in their community. Even amongst those who were working for social equality. It was frustrating to think that my work would have to educate them into understanding the oppressive structures of colonialism that attempt to divide us.

Brotherhood Sisterhood Camp for teens 1995. The local news interviewed me to get my reaction after reading the list of stereotyped people had about brown folks.

I didn’t want to affirm that, and it was not my responsibility as a person of color.

Yet I noticed a shift amongst white people standing up to oppressive structures globally when they realized how climate change was threatening them, or when capitalism was failing them. The context needed to be specific for their ancestral awakening.

It needs to be personal to acknowledge the wisdom of your ancestors and heal trauma with them. It encourages the healing of the soul individually and collectively.

Hopi Elder Speaks

“You have been telling people that this is the eleventh hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the hour. And there are things to be considered.
Where are you living? What are you doing? what are your relationships? are you in right relationship? Where is your garden?

It is the time to speak your truth. Create your community. be good to each other. and do not look outside of yourself for the leaders.”

then he clasped his hands together, smiled and said “This could be a GOOD TIME”

“There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold onto the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly.

Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open and our heads above the water.

And I say, see who is there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves for the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt. The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourself! Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration!

We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.”

Derive strength from your eternal, internal river of love.

When we see the light through the crack from the wound that traumatized us, we are being called to the awakening.

Every issue that is rooted in trauma has a balancing frequency to it. Sometimes that frequency feels so far away from us because it is buried in the subconscious, which holds infinite records of moments.

To “hold our heads above water with our eyes open,” means we can tune into the messages of healing that are emerging from this very fast moving river of time. When we do the work to live harmoniously with all of our relations of Mother Earth, the river of time becomes a river of love.

This higher frequency tonal energy is of natural goodness and flow, like an oasis untouched by human error. This same frequency may be running through your essence. When the work we practice is to repair that which causes the imbalance.

Ancestors need this too; they palpate our existence through how we address the traumas that repeated in their lives and in ours. Because the river of essence is timeless, we can work with the frequency to release any imbalances stuck in that flow.

These cultivated moments of healing for the ones that came before us and those to come is the making of an entire global movement. One that is heart -centered and addresses the true needs of the evolving planet. To acknowledge and come to terms with the wounds your ancestors have created or anticipated, to wash them in the timeless river of love and to return that vital energy to you, here and now. To make room for the vision of tomorrow, without the veil, without the triggers and with a voice of harmonious truth.
That is something to celebrate.
Cheers to the awakening.
